When Comes the Baby – a giveaway!

Lately I’ve been working on a new piece of mail … baby announcements! With baby’s due date fast approaching, I’ve got to get these things ready before she gets here. Here’s a sneak peak of what I’ll be mailing out later.

I’ve never understood people who say “I just can’t wait to have this baby” or “I’m ready for this pregnancy to be over.” Sure, pregnancy can be rough. The sickness. The pain. The incessant bathroom trips. The inability to be comfortable no matter what you’re doing. But the real work starts after the baby is born, am I right?

But now. . . this pregnancy has blessed me with a new kind of compassion toward women who are ready to get the deal over and done with. Because now I’m one of them. I’m definitely eager to see the little bundle-of-joy-reward for all the hard work of this pregnancy.

Something I miss from my working days are the raffles we would have when someone would have a baby. Guess the date, the time, the baby’s weight. We loved a good guessing game!

And I still love a good guessing game! Which is why I’m having a “baby raffle.” There’s no entry fee, though if you want to send us a little note after she’s born, we won’t turn away fun mail. 🙂 (Our address is at the bottom of the page.)

Contest open: Monday, July 6 – Sunday, July 12
How to enter: Leave a comment below and guess when Baby Kate will arrive. In order to be entered, please guess the date, the hour, and the 15-minute increment (July 21st, 10:15 pm). I’ll round up or down to the closest guess.
Prize: The winner will receive a $10 Walmart gift card. Walmart is in no way affiliated with or aware of this giveaway. But who doesn’t buy baby (or mail) supplies at Walmart? It just seems like a good place to buy a prize.
Other info: Only one entry per person. Contest open to residents of the United States age 18 years and older who have not won a prize from this blog in the past 6 months.

Labor was 3.5 hours

Due date is July 21
Baby is low but not yet engaged (as of this morning)
